Google web development performance tips...sort of.

Following in Yahoo's steps, Google has published a web site entitled "Let's Make the Web Faster" along with videos, code snippets and articles. Initial reactions by us aren't too great. While we encourage optimizing for faster web applications and sites, the majority of the information presented by Google is hardly new and in some instances even promote bad/insecure PHP development habits.

However, not all lost as the site is young and several of the videos are very well done. But for now, we'll recommend Yahoo's web performance tips if you are looking for good reads on improving web application/site performance.
